I had the 6637 filter for a year & while it is superior to the stock filter, I love my AIS because it is QUIET, has super filtration & a clean OEM look. Many types to choose from though.

I'll agree to this, I have had the AIS for about a year. It is definatelyl quieter, which very nice on the longer hauls.

Same here. The 6637 does great, but at the end of the day my ears ring from all the turbo whistle and intake drone.
AIS quieted it all down nicely and I can still hear the turbo good enough for the grin.
I have the AIS mod installed and like it. It is a Ford approved mod that can be bought through the dealersships but is probably a lot cheaper through the sponsors. I didn't put in the fender sleeve as I did the zoodad mod at the same time and didn't feel the fender sleeve would add that much more to it. The AIS is a larger surface area filter that flows more air for the same D/P, has a better seal set up and clamps then the OEM and gives excellant access to the drivers side battery compare to the OEM air intake box.
I know im going to get attacked by "someone" on here, but call me stupid.. there is no way you are going to get the same amount of airflow from that little opening in the front of the airbox on the AIS, compared to a 9" diameter open filter.
I installed the fender sleeve after I noticed that the filter minder had pulled in a little. Probably only have 6k on the AIS so I know it's not clogged because of dirt. Haven't checked for restriction since then but I have the peace of mind of knowing my beloved 7.3 isn't getting ground up internally by dirt.

Ok, I have done the CCV mod, AIH delete mod, and now am curious about the AIS mod. What is this?

It's the air intake I'm installing this week. It is Fords way of meeting the military requirements. I'll know this coming weekend how I like it since I have the old air intake removed.
