I am posting this for a friend who has a 2004 F-250, last night he lost his tail lights. He says that the owners manuel dose not show where the fuse is. Does any one know which one it is.
Ok the fuse is good and so are the tail lights. He has no power to the rear of the truck, ie he has no tail or tag lights. Everything else works, brake and back up.
Does any one have a wiring diagram of the trucks lighting system???
Well guys he called me back just confused about what to do. So I tell him to check all the connections from the back to the front. So he goes and checks them all unpluged them and repluged and walla he has lights. I am guessing that one of the connectors was either loss or just has some crud on it and thats what must have happened.
You might suggest to him to go through those connectors and clean them (The trouble will probably return the next time it rains) with some contact cleaner and put some die-electric grease in them.
You can get both at your favorite auto supply or Radio Shack.
