steering box

I have a 56 F-100 which came with a volare front clip already installed. I dont know what year the volare is. My question is does the steering box change from year to year and from V8 / V6? Or are they all the same - I just have no idea what year mine has....

pretty much all the same front ends. some claim the v8 stuff is heavier but looks same to me.

its all the same.. just replaced mine.. one part number from AutoZone.

Where would be the place to buy a volare steering box? Im not sure where to start looking. Thanks

I bought mine at AutoZone.

$130 with the core as I recall.
