2bbl on 4bbl intake?

2bbl on 4bbl intake?
This is probably a stupid question, but will a 2bbl carb fit and function on a 4bbl intake? The bolts appear to be the same, maybe not, but I just had this brain fart and thought I'd ask.
Problem is I have both intakes but only a 2 bbl carb. I hope to put a 4 on it soon, but since I've just put rings, had the heads done and bearings, I want to get her running, but don't want to have to change the intake any more than I have to.

if you buy an adapter yeah it is possible works alot better on intake where the plenum is divide in half or not at all not so well on the one with four holes but it will still work.
