Welcome to FTE Xoryx,

Was reading through my Haynes and I don't think a new EEC/ECA is the answer!
At present, this code 15 is not as important as the code 212; there is a grounding short that is stopping information from being stored in the ECA + also preventing your vehicle from firing!
As stated by surfmeister2000:

I got to messing aroound with the relays by the battery
I'm looking into where exactally this ECA relay is located and coming up w/ a possible remedy!
This was the source of surfmeister2000's problem + I think yours too and you also think so!
And...Other viewpoints also welcome!

There seems to be three main relays on my truck. The fuel pump relay (near power distribution box) , the EEC relay( also near power distribution box), and one other relay near the ECA inside the cab on the passenger side.

Are you refering to the one near the ECA?? Is this the one that you are refering too? Because i am having a hard time identifying it according the the Haynes.

If so, do i test it with the regular 12 volts throught the pos. and out the neg; then see if the switch closes with a voltmeter? ? ?

If you are right about this, I may even send you money for helping!

Hey Xoryx,
There seems to be three main relays on my truck.
The fuel pump relay (near power distribution box) , the EEC relay( also near power distribution box), and one other relay near the ECA inside the cab on the passenger side.
My Haynes (page 6-2 on top of 3rd column, on right side of page) says that the Electronic Engine Control (EEC) is also known as the Electronic Control Assembly (ECA)!
And...
My 2 relays are ~under~ the power distribution box!
And...
This 3rd relay is, where exactally, near the ECA!
(I pulled off the cover to my ECA, inside the cab, because I had to unhook it cause I had to do some arc welding + the truck became a hunk of grounded heavy-metal)!
If so, do i test it with the regular 12 volts throught the pos. and out the neg; then see if the switch closes with a voltmeter? ? ?
As for the testing part, I'll have to do more research!
If you are right about this, I may even send you money for helping!
Thank you, but...We are both getting an education, no need for $$!
And...FYI + FWIW:
And...DistributorLESS Ignition System can be shortened to DIS!
And...MT can be Mazda 5sp!

what did you mean by this? :

"This 3rd relay is, where exactally, near the ECA!
(I pulled off the cover to my ECA, inside the cab, because I had to unhook it cause I had to do some arc welding + the truck became a hunk of grounded heavy-metal)! "

Hi again Xoryx

I noticed reciently that you have had no other respondants !

What Ken00 said, in the Ranger & B-series Forum, is correct about your misreadings of your analizer!

And... II II I II II is not a code 212!

Go back to the drawing board + start over.

There are 3 steps w/ procedures that you must go through to get your codes properly.

Aparently, you are not doing this.

Also get a Haynes Repair Manual + check out Sticky: Tech info, in Ken00's corner. Study the procedures for pulling the codes for a EEC-IV system.

OH! I found that relay that I needed, by myself, like everything else that I have to do in life!
