Hi I have a 2wd 02 f250 with a leather front seats with the middle seat. I am looking at a 4WD 02 f250 it has everything I want but the middle seat as it is the same leather seats as mine the dealer said he would swap the seats out is this possible as the new one has heated seats and the other does not. other than that they look the same . Or can I just buy the truck as is and get the middle seat from an auto reckers and replace just the console in the middle as having heated seats would be nice as my Wife does tend to have a cold rear . Thanks for your help.

Heated just means another electrical connection, shouldn't be an issue.
The thing with the middle seat is, I think it's part of the entire bench - Not sure you can just put it in there. I know in my '01, it looks to be part of the entire seat, 40/20/40.
The cold rear, well, I can't help with that, my wife's gets cold too
You cannot put (without trouble) a center section seat in a truck that came from the factory with (the old style) center console due to the armrests getting in the way.
I would switch seats and buy a heated cushion for your wife's fanny.
Hey mole, the three seat types are 40-20-40(center jump seat), full bench(just like it sounds full bench) and the captains chairs(buckets with armrests)with the console.
Youre wanting to go from the last to the first I think. If so, here's my writeup on it:
Oh and mole based on your options, Im with monsta, let the dealer swap the seats over for a couple of reasons. Its easier than going through my process and locating that center jump seat is also not easy. Your new truck is prewired for the seat heaters so you might be able to add them in your 40-20-40s once the dealer has swapped them to the new truck or ask the dealer to do that too.
