Another Blackstone Report
This is the 2nd oil change since I bought the truck, and the first UOA. I switched to Rotella T on this oil change, but doubt if I will extend the interval.
I don't know why it was referred to as my "Cat", but if samples continue to come back like this they can call it whatever they wish.

Does the high molybdenum count figure to be due to the rings still seating?

What do you mean by UOA. I am going to send my first sample to Black Stone in another month or 2. I have your report and D8's too. It appears that the 3 of us have similar driving habits. I will post my results as soon as they come back.

I would guess the moly was an additive in the oil, or maybe even in whatever oil was used previously. Especially if it ever had synthetic.

They are usually delivered with CJ4 10W-30.

Looks like the viscosity has sheared down to below the desired levels.
Did they miss that or ?

What I got out of that was that the 1% presence of fuel in the oil was the cause of the lowered viscosity.
