Hi,
Would like to hear your opinions about which code reader is good for a budget of $150.00. I'm tired of taking my car to the dealers and auto part places every time the CEL comes on.
Thanks for your input.
I went to walmart and bought the $40 one they have in the auto department. It reads and resets codes, but will not do any comp modifications. It has worked great every time I needed it. I'll go get it out of my truck in a little while and tell you what brand it is.
You could get the scangauge for 149.95 shipped which not only tells you your codes, but also tells you mpg, gallons per hour, accurate speed and rpm, transmission temperature and MANY other customizable gauges.

i assume that info comes straight from the computer which would be the same as the in vehicle mileage, right? how accurate are they?
if its pretty close to dead on, it might be handy but if not.................
Guys I bought the Scangauge II from Alon and it works great I wished I got it a long time ago. I now have one in both of my trucks. It is really super easy to use and hook up, its worth it.
