Odd Noise

A couple of weeks ago I took notice of a noise that never used to be there. It sounds like road noise from the tires, however, it is still there even when I'm not on pavement. Not to mention, when I do the old Ace Ventura technique to listen outside the truck, it isn't as prominent as it is inside the cab. Any thoughts on what it could be? Thanks in advance.

Year/Make/Model/Engine would help. The gas motors have a flutter in the Y-pipe over several years.

Yup, sorry about that. It's a 2003 F250 with the 6.0L PSD. It is definitely a drive train noise and not an engine noise.
