Excursion prices dropping like a rock!

Just saw a CL add for a 2002 Diesel X 4x4 with leather and 147k miles for $8000 obo.

A little high on the miles, but $8k...

I am starting to wish I had waited a few more months to buy my X.

When gas hits $6.00 a gallon, diesel $6.85 a gallon, every Excursion will nothing more than a paperweight.

Very sad this is happening!

I agree that this is sad. I have lusted after these trucks for years. Now that my wife is almost done with school(August) and I will finally be able to afford one the price of fuel is going to make completely impossible to justify. I can justify it up to $5 a gallon(diesel) but beyond that I am out of arguments.

Buy em up while they are cheap! After bush is out and we fix this mess and gas is cheap again (give it a few years it WILL happen) you will wish you got a nice one when they were nice and low mileage for dirt cheap!

Yep - it's also time to get boats and RVs really cheap.

Meanwhile, a Geo Metro is going for $3k above book.

Oh well, I just put 900+ miles on my Ex in the last 5 days and it was great. It got 12.99 MPG on the first tank and I have about 1/3 left on the 2nd tank. Me, my wife, 2 kids, a Lab, a large cooler and many suitcases later we are home!!!!!!!!!!!! I did check my oil though and it is about 3/4 quart low over the last 2k miles---RP 5w20. Is this normal???

Who you going to blame if we get a tree hugging liberal in office? Every time somebody posts something about gas prices someone else has to make anti-Bush statement.
Anyway I am glad the prices are coming down because I am in the market to buy one. I hate it for the people trying to sell theirs but thats all the more reason to keep it. If you need something this size it is about your only choice other than the suburban and they are not as strongly built in my opinion. I cant wait to own one, and it will be soon.
