Howdy,
It could have a 272 or it could be a Lincoln Y-block. You can usually tell by the bolt pattern for the exhaust manifolds. If all the studs are lined up in a straight line it's a "real" Y-block. If the front back bold patterns are angled, then it's a Lincoln Y-block.
