Charging System Problem..Mystery Wire!

Have 88 Bronco II w/ 2.9ltr. Replaced Heads on it yesterday. Got it all back together and noticed a wire hanging down beside drivers side of Engine. My Alternator has a 3 wire plug and Voltage Regulator has a 3 wire plug. Both Plugs have one wire in Common which appears to be White with a Brown Stripe, they run into the Harness together and then Merge near the Firewall into 3 Wires. Anyways, the Wire that's Hanging down beside the Engine comes out of a different Harness and is ALSO White with a Brown stripe. I don't know where it goes but I do know that because it's not connected to SOMETHING my Battery WONT stay charged. Does anyone know where that wire could possibly go or anyone have a wiring diagram for the Charging System? My HANES BOOK doesn't even show a White w/ Brown Wire anywhere under the hood! Appreciate any help cause I can't drive it like this.

It may be the white/black wire that goes to the "s" terminal of the alternator and regulator, and also goes to the electric choke.
