electrical question

i have a 03 fx4. i pull a gooseneck horsetrailer. the plug is now in the bed. the center pin in the plug powers the 12 volt lights inside the trailer. it only powers when the truck runs or the key inaccessory.

can i do something that will power this pin all the time?

ohh ok, well then you would have to hard wire power to the trailer plug instead of it running off your ignition

only problem with that being that it'll have a constant draw from your starter batt

You could pull the relay out of the box and install a jumper from terminal 30 to terminal 87. That would make the battery charge pin always-hot while still being fused.

there'd still be a constant draw but it would be protected by a fuse
