I read about turning up the boost, fuel and advancing the timing on on the 7.3l IDI.
I have a 94 f350 crew cab 7.3L IDI stock turbo with 4.10 gears. On the fresh rebuild have gotten 17.8, 16.5, and 16.8 mpg.
My Exh temps run from 450 to 600 and boost looks to be running about 2.5to 3 on boost with the cruse set at 60 mph going to work 31 miles one way and the most boost i have seen is around 6 or 7.
Would you leave it be or do you think there is room for improvement?

since its a stock factory turbo u can upgrade the exhaust housing on the turbo, larger down pipe (both available from ATS, who made the factory kit), 4" exhaust, short ram intake, turn the fuel pump a few flats and either add some propane or meth/water.
then there is the big money items like fab up an intercooler, Moose pump, DPS injectors, compound turbos, etc...
but i would try the pump, exhaust and intake first.
