Ok i see what your saying but from my experiance dynoing my Mustang the only thing that is linked from the dyno to the vehicle is a inductive probe to the spark plug wire (for RPM signal for the dyno), fuel pressure gauge, Wide band threaded into my O2 sensor port, a boost line for the boost gauge on the dyno. So my question is how do they lock the truck in OD? They must do it with a program via the chip right?
Well iam beat i guess, just got home, i talked to the shop owner that has the all wheel drive dyno. He told me he dosnt want to do my truck because the smoke will fill his shop up and will take along time to clean the soot up .
He dosnt have a tube long enought and big enought to put the exhaust out of the shop. Ok so anybody know of a shop that can dyno a diesel in NJ??
Erik
Oh yeah while driving my truck i noticed that 65mph and up the truck willn't downshift out of OD so i guess thats the way they start the dyno (65mph).
thats what i said. 65, did you stomp it to the floor without the load? if it didnt downshift thats where you want to start your dyno.....
Thanks Pete, yeah i remember you posting that so while doing some driving today i started at 65mph in stock setting,80eco,120,140 tunes and every time I went WOT at 65mph and higher the truck wont downshift to OD..thanks again. I just need to find a dyno here in NJ that can do my truck.
