Idea for turn signals?

Ok so I came up with this cool idea of trying to tie the side marker lights into my turn signals. I'm not sure how well this will work or if it will even work at all. Has anyone tried this or does anyone know how I might go about doing this? Any suggestions and fedback is appreciated. thanx

I did this on my 85 ranger, just run your marker lights off the same wires that run your turn signal. Also, try and find LED for the marker lights, looks good and reduces the extra draw.

I ran mine so that the the front and the side alternate flash with each other, no extra draw on the circuit. Some manufacturers did this.
I'm looking for custom tailight ideas.

just run the ground wire to the signal wire. with lights off they flash together. with lights on they alternate
