starts to buck

truck starts to buck while driving in gear. Have to push in clutch and give it more throttle to get it to stop.

had local mechanic drive it. He seems to think its not the coming from the drivetrain but maybe fuel related.

Any ideas ?

Did your check engine light come on? Have you had the CPS recall done?

Not sure about the check engine light. I'll watch for that.
I have not done the CPS recall yet.

Thanks

The CPS can cause bucking, but it usually sets the light after 4 or 5 bucks. Be sure to check your fuel filter & & make sure your engine oil is in good shape to be on the safe side.

Mine will start to buck if I get some bad fuel. I drain the fuel/water separator and I am golden.

update to truck starts to buck

Thanks for the replys.
I did the simple things first. Oil looks good. Changed fuel filter and CPS.

Couldn't hurt needed a spare CPS anyway(for the glove box).

While driving still had bucking problems so I was not to far from the dealer so I dropped it off late in the afternoon.

Mechanic said the IPR was sticking causing the ICP to spike. So they replaced the IPR.

Wow thats an expensive part. If I'm reading my bill correctly the part alone was 342.65. Plus ofcourse labor and diagnostic charges of and 277.

Really happy to be rolling smooth again. But it sure makes for a sore wallet(even though I know its gonna hurt before I get there. Just was in a hurry to get er fixed.)
Thanks again for the help.
