abs and airbag lights flashing

abs and airbag lights flashing
i just picked up a 94 f-140 302 5spd. it is flashing the abs light 16 times then pauses. it also flashes the air bag light 3 times then a pause then 2 times. any ideas what i should be looking to wrench on? thanks

As far as I am aware there is no code 16 for the RABS so your light is not flashing a code. If it detects a fault the computer should turn the light on steady. I think you should look for a blown/loose/missing ABS fuse. Don`t know about the air-bag light but a common fault in air-bag systems is a dirty plug connector under the driver`s seat. This should give your post a bump and maybe someone else will throw some light.

I think the 32 airbag code is for a bad clock spring... someone will come and tell you if i am right or not. But its an easy fix, to find out for sure does your horn or cruise control (if applicable) still work... if not then it is your clock spring for sure.

Got brake lights? Have trouble getting the shifter out of park? Had a very similar problem on my 95, abs light flashing 16 times, hard to get the shifter out of park. check the brake light fuse. Mine was blown causing all the them problems.
Not sure the 94 is the same, blown the brake light fuse on my 94 a few times but none of that happen with it. Some small change from 94 to 95 models? Shifter won't move if the fuse is blown so it can't be driven without brake lights? Doesn't actually stop ya though if you really try!
