rear axle leak
I've got a 99 F350 Dually with rear disk brakes and I noticed a fluid running down my right rear rim and tire. At first I thought it was a brake caliper leak but after closer inspection and sniff test it was rearend lube. I've never taken the dually hub apart to get down to the seal before so Iwas wondering if you need any special tools to take it apart? Has anyone done a post explaining this process? Thanks

you don't really need any special tools. however, if you've got the mileage you might consider replacing your bearings. I could not find a driver for the bearing and races, i'm sure ford sells one for a hefty price so i resorted to the old fashioin way. heat and freeze the components and with patience you can "press" them in.
your other option is to locate a heavy truck shop or machine shop to press them in. secondly, i'd consider a brake job and/or rear end lube replacement since your "in" there.
