powersteering problem??? Help Plz!

Ok i have a 2005 f150 lariat with the 5.4 auto. It smoked a bit from the right side of the engine bay and today i saw the reserve for the power bubbling.
Any ideas what might be the problem. I have very little experience with this truck so i have no clue as to what could be wrong with it. Maybe the pulley is slipping and that caused the smoke??

My 07 has only 6000 miloes on her and the power steering reserve has bubbled since day one. Every other one i've seen has done same thing. Need to check further

really?? So the violent bubbles are normal??? I heard about a filter i was thinking maybe that could be the problem, and needed replacing.

Don't know the reason for your smoke, but as for the p/s reservoir, it's SUPPOSED to bubble like that, if it doesn't, your pump's not working. That's why your owner's manual instructs you NOT to fill it to the MAX level, but rather about halfway between the MIN and MAX marks, to allow the fluid room to "percolate".
