Firewall VS Floorboard
Hey guys-
What do ya think of this.
Would it be possible to cut out a section of the firewall and modify it to fit a 4" DP w/out a body lift? Is the firewall the same as the floorboard?
What about a Five inch??? ya, ok getting greedy here, but i am going to be modding and towing, and dont want EGT's to be an issue...
I know that the extra half inch or inch wont make that much of a difference, but every little bit helps!

As big as, say an HX50? That would be when i would attempt this...
What i was thinking is i could get a full exhaust now, and if i move up to a big turbo, then do this...

Waste of time.... Fire wall and floor board are two pieces with a pinch weld. You would need to remove the cab or the engine to do it well IMO. Even with an HX50/H2E I would not both with larger than 3 inch DP.

I would run water injection before modding the firewall to take a larger down pipe. the larger DP will not affect EGT's enough to offset the work involved.
