One more time... Mine is straight upright, I can slide the power seat forward and someone can sit in the front middle seat too. You did not mention if you have an auto, stick or center console.

Reason: adding pictures
I'm not in a 6.4, but if it's at all helpful, here's the setup in my 04...
Radio, external speaker, and mic.
Thanks but... doesn't help at all. The difference between the 07 and 08s are significant in interior design. Which is why I went with the 08 over the 07s. But, do appreciate any and all help.

Your right, I forgot to mention a few details.
Mine is an auto w/ captains chairs and console. In one of my FSBs I mounted my CB to the front of my console and it looked really cool there. However, any coke/drink in the cup holders will leave crap on the face of the CB. Plus... Between my console and my dash isn't sufficient space to mount a CB AND still be able to use my front cup holders.
I'll look for a pic of my cab and post it a.s.a.p.
I mounted mine to the center councel the cup holders pop out to give access, and no you can't use the dash mounted cup holders, which don't hold anything in a turn anyway. The bottom of the cb rests on the pencil holder in the front of the councel to take a little weight off the plastic where the mount is . Sorry no pics.
I wanted to mount to the roof but to much work to make it look nice.

I don't like this idea. Not for this truck. I do use both sets of cup holders in my truck so, this idea really doesn't work for me.
I do think the cubby above my head is a better place to install it. But, then, I'll have to worry about installing an external speaker so I could hear the thing.
Very much considered this option for my 05 F150. But, in my F350, I can't find a good place to install the bracket for the handle. The 08 Dash isn't CB handle friendly if you know what I mean? LOL!!!
[quote=caprang;6176893]Bavrit, cant see your bracket in the pic. Looks like it is mounted to the floor though???
I took an upright standard CB bracket and bent it to match the slope of the hump of the floor, then screwed it through the carpet into the metal floor. Now the CB is straight upright.
OK, the tranny hump on the sticks must be MUCH narrower then they are on the Autos. I dry fit a full size unit on the tranny hump and was just way too far out of reach to make it useful. And, I'm 6'3" with gorilla arms.
Found a solution though. Going with a small Uniden unit over the Cobra. Dood at repair shop told me the Cobras are descent units but, have problems with their riser boards being held on with just the solder (sp). The Unidens are bolted in place. So, in my hot black truck, I won't have to worry as much about my electronics in my case softening up and allowing the riser boards to come lose.
So, Uniden radio w/ PA, Squelch etc... $80.00, Wilson 1000 antenna $60.00, PA speaker $??.??, All installed and tuned for $300.00.
The smaller units fit nicely where the ash tray normally sits. I don't use my ash tray so, radio will go there. Pics will follow after installation.
