My 1999 F150 has a blend door problem I need to know if there is an easy fix without having to take the whole dash out. With my ac control set to cold I am getting Heat from the passenger side dash vents while getting cool but not cold air from the drivers side dash vents. With the ac control set to hot I get the same thing. Also with the ac set to cold and switched to floor vent I get cool air at the floor vent but when switching to Defrost I get hot air even with the control still set to cold.
If anybody knows of a quick fix to this problem I would appreciate any information I can get that might help me make this repair.
What kind of stickied post are you talking about? and who are you calling stupid I have a real problem here and I don;t think asking for help is stupid/
ProjectSHO89 didn't call you anything. He only asked if you saw the thread at the top that discusses the blend door issue. His quote at the bottom of his post is his signature.
Thanks for clearing that up for me but no I don;t think I saw the post you are talking about I am new here and have not been able to find any post that gives me any information on how to fix my problem other tha using a stick of dynamite maybe.
I am disabled due to a severe back problem and do not have the money to pay a dealer to fix this truck and have been trying to sell it and nobody will buy it with the heat and ac not working right, and I am really not in any physical condition to be pulling this dash apart myself but I guess I am just going to have to load up on my pain meds and do it anyhow because I have not found anyway of fixing it without puling the whole dash out.
If somebody can tell me of some way to get this blend door problem fixed without pulling the whole dash I would certainly appreciate it and if there is a post here somewhere already that explains how to do that I wish somebody would tell me how to find that post.
