So this weekend I helped my fiancee take the rest of the running boards off his truck. I still had a ton of fun, I enjoyed being under that truck. I have so much fun work with him. Nothing is better then working with the person you love and a toy you enjoy being around. I love working on the truck with my fiancee as much as possible. I also bought a new hitch cover for his truck and the ford sign on it lights up. It really cool, know I am looking for something else to get his truck.

I would like to take mine off...but my lil' 5"4' wife would whine about getting in and out....besides...they are the only things keeping the nasty rocks from beating the hell out of the paint. (I live on dirt roads)
I took mine off all the way with the help of a tree stump several years ago. Put them back on with new brackets from an '03. Then tried to tear my achellis by riding on the board last winter after a dig out and to get another SD unstuck. Now my boards are passed on to another SD owner. Never again to be reattached as long as I own the truck.

My dad had some of them cheapo-tube aluminum variety running boards...those things are dangerous as hell when its wet or icy out. I decided to go with the hoop style steps, I find them to be much safer.
