Gas mileage

I was wondering how much does a 292 get for Gas mileage?

Gas mileage

Ive gotten as much as 17.5 with mine during city driving. This was with the original 2bbl that wasnt functioning properly. Also, 3spd standard and 3.70 rear gears, 275-60-15 tires.

I get right close to 8 mpg, 292 running rich, 4 spd, 4.56:1 gears, 31" tires.

I have a F350 w/ a 272 I think. Was mileage different for 272?

i currently get six in my 62 f700 put the carb is getting a little tired.

I'm expecting around 15 at best. These things were not economy champs. Methinks I have to mess up my carb. or something. The only way I'd get 17.5 is rolling down a hill with the clutch disengaged.
