I bought it from a guy in Tower City. It was in a million pieces, and I spent a day putting it together with the few bolts I could find. He bought it from a guy on a farm near Page, ND. When I bought it, I asked the guy "Does it have a title?" and he said "yes, but the guy I bought it from still has it, he said he'd get it to me, but thats been 10-12 years ago now". I did track down the guy, he mailed me the title, and told me they used the truck on the farm, they had removed the box/fenders early on to mount a sprayer on the back. The box/fenders and tailgate sat high and dry in the loft of the barn for most of its life(I guess thats why they were so pristine). I guess it had a flatbed for a while because he said he drove it to high school for a while, before he tore it all apart to restore it, then he lost interest. Somewhere along the line the running boards and radiator went MIA, so I just threw on what I had laying around. The fenders sat nose down in a fertilizer shed and I think thats was caused the rust to eat up the fronts so bad. The cab itself wasn't too bad(at least for around here) I never got the story on what crushed in the roof of the cab, something must have fallen on it at one point. When I got the truck, there were some Minnesota Forrestry Dept. Stickers barely hanging on the windsheild and the rear sill of the box, so I think thats how it started out life and why the box was never abused. The truck sat outside with no front clip for 10+ years so I can't imagine the motor being any good. It was stuck pretty good when I got it, but I never did anything but put a bar on the front. I said in the ebay auction that I thought the motor was done for, and listed the rust as well as having lots of pictures. I think he hit the buy it now on an impulse because it was cheap, w/o really looking closely at the pictures. He didn't notice until he got here that it was 2 diffrent colors. I just think it ended up to be more of a project than he thought it would be. I hope that fills in the details for you, you did get a good deal. I'd have given $300 in a heart beat just to have another short box frame around.
