Quick question, is there any difference between a Duraspark module from a straight 300-6 and a V-8? I had a working Duraspark handed to me from a '79 with a 300-6. Any reason why it wouldn't work in my '75 360FE? I'm going to go try it out and swap the units to see, but I thought I might ask first.
Thanks, Mike
I don't think there is any difference between the 6 and the 8. But there are two different Duraspark units; a 2 wire plug and a 3 wire plug - the plug that goes to the trucks wiring harness. The other plug (4 wire) going to the distributor is the same for both.

The 7 wire module is the Duraspark I from '74-'75, the 6 wire module is the Duraspark II from '76 up, Ford deleted the blue wire in the later Duraspark II units.
