My 360 is a 7 year old crate motor and has been smoking for 6 years after you let off the gas and a little at idle after warms up and drivin. rings or valve seals

Havent done any machinic work sense selling my Mustang 17 years ago, Im looking forward to this project. Any suggestions will help thanks scrapyardking

Might be a leaking intake gasket sucking oil in.

Try this - hold it in 2nd gear and rev it up to around 4500RPMs, let off, let it rev down to 1000, and then hit the gas again. If you get a big blue PUFF it's the intake gasket.

Check the spark plugs, what do the electrodes look like colorwise? You have to check all of them.

smokes from the tail pipes, coulpe puffs when you crank it then one side will clear up,also after you let off the gas going down the road (pretty good)
