my boost gauge was working fine. 2 days ago I took the IC pipes off, cleaned them up and painted them.
in order to get the pass. side off, I had to unplug the air line, and the electrical connection, from their connections on the pass. side.
got it all done, put back together no probs. yesterday i took it for a ride, boost gauge was working fine for about 10 mins. (that's when I noticed a turbo lag, no immediate throttle response). today, I checked all the connections and found out that the boost tube on the drivers side had come disconnected at the intercooler. unkowingly I drove it like this for about 26 miles. I put it back on, and my boost gauge still doesn't work.
there's no air pressure / boost pressure going through the lines. the airline for the boost gauge is not clogged. (i can blow through it) .
the turbo is working fine, meaning the impella still turns. (at idle any way)
there is no turbo lag or power loss that I can notice. is it possible that the airline could be blocked where the original boost line goes into the top of the engine block?

I guess I am not understanding. Are you talking about the boost tube where it connects into the Y pipe? If you're truck is running fine otherwise, then you have a blockage somewhere. If you blow on the tube with light pressure from a compressor, will the gauge move? I doubt that you can blow enough with your mouth to move it.
Did you drive the truck after replacing the boot? You will get no boost sitting there and reving the engine. Engine has to have a load on it to make boost.
John, I went with OEM rotors and pads. These lasted 117,000 miles and I pull heavy loads all the time. Lots on here like the Powerslots with Hawk pads. Have you changed them before on a dually? They are a little different then a single rear wheel. Don't forget to grease the slide pins. I just did mine a few weeks ago, if you have any questions PM me and I will help you out.
thanks for the offer. I believe these are the original rotors. I'm getting a slight vibration in the steering wheel, and a very small pulsation in the brake pedal.
I'm going to see if I can have them turned first. my pads are in excellent condition, barely even broken in.
if they can't be turned then I'll buy new rotors.
they only place locally that turns them is Pepboys, for $12.00 ea. but they'll check them first. they also carry replacements.

I'm still working on the wife for a new mod
OK, let us know how it turns out. On the rotors and wife. lol
