Yesterday my e brake padel did not fill right when I engaged it.
What I found is the cable on the right rear came off the acuator & the acuator is sticking out like it has been pulled back(engaged). How do I get the rotor off. Is it just stuck? I used WD40 & a hammer (and a block of wood)to no luck, is PB blaster better or should i use some heat from a torch.
Mine did the same thing. If youre talking about that little metal tab that sticks out that the cable connects to as the actuator then you need to tap it back into the non enganged position and the rotor will then come off. I used some pb and a deadblow hammer.
My actuator lever was gone and when I pulled the rotor off there was nothing inside! I can't understand why someone would just take everything out and not fix it. Not that an e-brake is the most useful thing, until you really need it, but why they would just tear it all out and leave it is beyond me. Strange that so many have this problem with the cable coming off.
