test run on engine stand

Got the engine back together enough to test run it. Now I can pull it back down, send the injectors out and install new springs and push rods.

Thanks guys. Probably be a couple more weeks waiting on parts. I don't think it would have stayed on the stand with out the engine hoist hooked to it to.

I made a 42 pin harness extension and extended the fuel lines. It's up close to the front of the truck so I could use the starter harness for the batteries. It would have started with the key but I couldn't push the clutch pedal down.

I didn't even notice that both were hooked up. They do rock the whole truck when installed though, so I can see how it might cause problems on just a stand.

Awesome, that thing sounds BALLSY Without a turbo to muffle it down! I have always wondered what a powerstroke sounded like without a turbo.. but not an IDI.... Glad to see youre making some good progress. If you are holding it in and suprising us.... tell us.. because i think it would be a wise time to add some rods and a girdle to that sucker! Are you going to B codes? I see youre getting terminated!
