I replaced my clutch just over a month ago. (well, my engine and clutch)
And for the past couple of days the release arm sounds like an angry locust when my foot is off the pedal.
I had lightly greased the "mushroom" pivot and "fork" with Moly while it was apart and I can see through the bellhousing that it's properly engaged in the throw-out bearing.
If I so much as touch the pedal it goes away. I thought this is what the spring in the slave is for. So, I changed the slave hoping it might help.
No luck..
Anyone encountered this before and have a *real* solution for me???
I'm think I'm going to lose my mind
Uncle Stosh is right. Unless you replaced the whole shebang (aka clutch kit) the bearing is probably bad. Mines is hollerin like a mad banshi right now too. When my engine comes out (next big project) the whole mess will be replaced.
Even went so far as to purchase FORD release & pilot bearings because I didn't like the "Made In China" I saw on the ones that came w/ the Sachs clutch.
So I whipped those bearings in the dumpster.
I wish it was really rumbling or something critical, 'cause I'm not looking forward to pulling that tranny/transfer case.....again.
(at least the bellhousing bolts were chased and anti-sized a month ago )
If it was mechanical Clutch you could try and adjust the pedal free travel it should be 1/2 through 2-1/2 inches. If it's out of adjustment, it could cause the bearing to squeal. Or you could adjust it to compensate and stop a worn one from squealing for awhile.
Since it seems that you have a hydralic clutch though, a new throwout bearing is soon for your future.
Go the whole hog and buy a kit for it next time, if you didn't before, will save you grief like this in future.
Hmm, well since you replaced everything, then it's either defective parts, or a clearence or adjustment problem. How was the bearing races, they could be worn etc...
*edit*
I don't think there's any clearance, or adjustment with the hydraulic system. I thought that's why the slave has a spring inside. To keep the bearing engaged with the fingers on the pressure plate and constantly spinning.
Did you mean the races on the NEW release bearing???
I didn't have a clutch issue at all. I swapped the motor because @ 315k I finally spun a main, or rod bearing.
But there was no way I was going to put an 8 year old clutch back in behind a new engine.
If the throw-out bearing was failing, it would be making a noise when you put pressure ON the clutch pedal (causing it to revolve), but that is the opposite to what is happening. It sounds like there might be another issue.

I don't think thats the case, mine did it when my foot was off the pedal, I got used to driving with the foot on to stop that damn "chirping". New throw out took care of it {replaced everything}

Personally I think you got a defective bearing. Or something caused the bearing to prematurely wear out in those 800 miles. Why I mentioned to inspect the races on the bearing when you remove it. If it's badly scared up, then I would look for a cause in why it is. Bad clutch fork, bad main bearing in tranny, or camshaft, causing wobbles, pilot bearings etc... something like that.
Don't want you to put in a new throwout bearing and in 800 more miles, have the same thing happen.
But I;
Pulled the pto covers off the gearbox while I had it apart to see how things looked inside.
"camshaft"??
Pilot bearing is new in the re-man longblock.
The fork wasn't causing any problems before I swapped the engine.
Man, I really don't want to pull it down again..
I wish I could be sure it's not just the throwout spinning on the clutch fingers
