my truck has gone crazy, whenever i get in an turn the key over to let the glow plugs fire off all the gauges lights just flash on and off. i don't know if my computer is takin a dump or if my dp has wiggled loose or what it is. any help is appreciated
What's the age and condition of the batteries??? When they get old, they can do some funny stuff. Plus, double check your battery connections, and DP connection. Easy and cost-free diagnosis. SES light by chance?
Do you have a factory or after market alarm??? Does the truck still start and run fine? Or is that all it does? Sounds like a alarm issue to me. I would start by taking off the DP and see what that gets you.
i don't know about mt batteries but i do know i don't have an aftermarket alarm. it has seemed like its whirlin over kinda slow. i thought it wouldn't run if you took the dp off
It sound like a low battery problem. It takes a lot of juice to crank these trucks over. Charge your batteries and see if it starts up better. If you have a bad battery replace both of them. If you only replace 1 then the good battery will try and compensate for the bad one.
I am with Chris on the batteries guess. I ran mine down a few weeks ago and that is what the gauges in my truck where doing.
did it start doin it all of a sudden because mine started fine then when i got out i tried to lock the doors with my clicker and i hit it twice which usually honks the horn and the lights flash but it didn't so i went back and turned the key over and everything started flashin and actin crazy

In the 2 1/2 years I've owned my truck, I've learened that these PSD's like to communicate to you when there's somethin wrong....the clicks and lights are PSD language for "please replace my batteries".
