Nice truck!

Since there's no specific '97 forum, this is as good a place as any

That is a nice looking truck! Sometimes I think the 90's truck were the best looking! What you have in there for a motor? I am guessing a 7.5 with a 4 speed+ od? I had a 2 tone brown one the same year as yours, it was a nice truck untill a buddy of mine got ahold of it!

Hello all,
Thank you for the warm welcome. I do intend to ask a bunch of questions! I love this truck and have wanted one for a loooong time. They were just always a little outside my budget. This truck was actually able for me to buy thanks to my VA benefits FINALLY being approved. I never like to spend money on myself (family you know) But I got such a deal on it that I finally got the chance. My boys call it Big Blue. A name the previous owners kids called it. My boys thought it was befitting.
Merlins,
It has the 5.8 in it for now.
Maybe one day I will beef it up a bit. But for now I find it has plenty of power.
Again thanks for the welcome.
Jason

Judging from the pics...that truck doesn't need a thing...Looks sharp just the way it is...

To be honest I like the style of the 90's the best, thats a sharp looking truck. First truck I ever drove was my dads '94 150 with a I6 and 5 speed. And from what I hear the later 'roller' 5.8's were pretty nice motors. My poor '99 150 is already rusted completely through in the cab corners
