Are you kidding? The 4.6L is huge with its overhead cams and all. It will fit with enough mods, but a 5.0L would be a better fit, and there is more support for 5.0L swaps. The other problem with choosing a 4.6L is the electronics. If you are not experienced with FI tuning, I would steer clear of the 4.6L.

Here is a copy of Greg R's dual OHC Cobra in his...an extremely difficult swap , expertly done! (Looks factory, eh??)...its located about 20 posts down in this forum....go with a 302...or I'd even think 289 with gas prices going where they are. My carbed 289 '66 Fairlane used to get 24 MPG, but I don't know the weight comparisons.

engine swap

without modifying your fender wells and doing away with your a/c & heater box,you can only go with a 5.0,even the 351's are taller and won't fit without severe mod.s I have a 5.0 & AOD trans in my 87,thats all you need,if you want more, throw some hi performance parts at it. the truck only weighs 2500 LBS,and the 5.0 weighs 100 LBS more than a 3.0
go to TriStateTuners.com to look at a step by step instructions of installing a small or big block into your ranger or bronco 2

Diesel is $1.10 for liter here. Gas is cheapper, but diesel has better fuel efficiency. Do here to drive a diesel car/truck is 3-5% cheapper.

I love diesel for torque. Diesel on idle speed has enought torque to start releasing clutch.

But I have now van and truck with gasoline engine....

I saw CNG buses in the USA. Here NG kits for trucks are very popular... Why there are no so many CNG trucks in the USA like in Europe now... How much is CNG and LPG now?

it is warm usually in FL but here to heat average house 10-20 Kw are required. Yeah, we have 220V/380V power supply but current should be about 100 amp. Made of cooper wires of finger thikness.... That's why we use natural gas. We pay $108 for 1000 cube meter of NG. For industry price is $350 with taxes. Natural gas stations sell NG for cars and truck for $0.40 for cube meter (it is 92% of one liter of gas). It is really cheapper. It is more expencive to transport NG then to get it from underound. We get NG from Russia and Turkmenia. EU pays more.
