I have my 77 F150, 4wd, in my gallery, I ALSO have my 63, AND my , 66
THEN I ran across a 73 F350 Sper Camper Special, XLT, 390 auto, AC Good cond. and am thinkin about it,,,, I am torn, wife says something needs to go, am thinking of selling my 66, and keeping my 63 Slick since it is 4x4. Just gimme your thoughts, opinions, I floated same thing in the Slick side of posts.
I would have a hard time deciding too, and when the Mrs. says something has to go, something has to go.
Pick your priorities and match them to your needs and you may realize that getting a "new" truck may not be in the best of interests at this time - for you and especially for your wife.
You seem to have a great bunch of trucks now, all of them are in the "most wanted" list and you should be proud of them.
Keep what you got and keep working on them, that's what I have to do.
Then again - You have a couple of dream trucks of mine a 77 and a 66 - what do you want for the 66?.
I know Khadma, all of them are my favorites! and I have always wanted a camper special,,,,,
probly ask around $4800 for my 66, it is the heavy hauler, I use it for getting gravel/dirt, just hauled a van I took the 460/C6 out of to the scrap yard, and some copper almost 11,000 lbs GVW on the scales!
Still working on the spouse,,,, but as you said,,, when she says something has to go, well, you know!
i would get rid of the 77 being the newest but it is very clean. How much would you sell that one for? It looks real good, they all do actually. it would be a tough choice.
My 77,,,,, hmmm hadn't really considered that one, it's a cherry, 92k original on it now, incredible shape, had a guy ask once at a car show and I told him 10k, he gave me his card and said call when I was ready.... not sure.... it is my perfect hunting rig, I am getting ready to make a bumper for the 12k # milemarker winch I bought for it. I would probably ask $10k for it, that way I can say "honey, nobody is buying it"!
yeah that thing is clean, i'd be scared for a second to take it out hunting, but then i'd run it right through a pit. 10k sounds good, decisions decisions
I am gentle with it, and once I roll back into town he gets cleaned before I head home, the winch is a justincase..... insurance if you will. And in 4-low, 1st gear, just creeps up the old loggin trails!
We are negotiatin that,,,, it is going to be 3k something, unfortunately, he knows what he has, a Super Camper Special, 1973 no smog, 120k miles, AC, no rust
And yes tracto, I have considered that, but my 77 passed with flying colors in March or April, it is a "Non-Catalyst" according to the sticker on the valve cover, so it only has an EGR valve, no smog pump, catconvertor or anything else, and since it has dual tanks, there is no gas cap check, just a sniffer in the pipe.
Trying to convice her I "need" 2 of each, 2 Slicks and 2 Dentsides,,,,
