call another dealer..i got the whole shifter with the button from a dealer for 50 bucks....this was last summer..i dont think price went up that much....
98% of folks squeal like stuck pigs because oil companies are making about 7.25% profit. You look at this price quoted by a stealership and that kind of percentage mark up is beyond my mathematical abilites to come up with. Why do we not here about this type of price sticking it to us from companies that are truly guilty of it?
I bought one from a dealership about 5 years ago and it was less than $20. I think it was closer to $12. I bought the shifter last year for less than $50. The small wires from the button to the column will break and are too short to soldier. Make sure that is not your problem.

Damnit, it was early in the morning and I'd not finished my pot of coffee yet. I'm really surprised I've not caught Hell over this post and the world class spelling error. Sorry folks.
I didn't notice "abilites," but I did notice "here." Thats ok, we all do it from time to time.
It was the "hear" that really hurt my feeling's, the other one I could pass off as a typo. I take great pride in my grammar and spelling abilities, which I still can't see as being wrong unless my eyes are further gone than I thought. Which reminds me, I only have one of them, which I failed to mention in a thread yesterday that someone mentioned the fact that I must be in fit condition and have no need of those waste of money drive-thru lanes. Now that's about a laugh and and half.
Ford wanted $170 for it. Anybody know what the name of the kit is?
It isn't that expensive. Problem is that without a part number, you really can't tell what you are getting. I bought a MAF for another car for $530. Wife picked it up. Found out they sold us an EGR assembly. I replaced my button a while back and I can tell you it isn't $170. I'll be glad to sell you mine for $100
Then leave the apostrophe out of feelings. It doesn't belong there.
Thank you sir, and I'm serious, I do appreciate it. I did not graduate from high school even, Viet Nam sounded like a lot more fun after football season ended that year. When I couldn't play anymore football I was finished with school. Even this would not be correct, feelings'?

No, that's not correct, either. An apostrophe shows where letter have been omitted (you're - you are, haven't - have not, etc.) or it shows possesion (these are Mark's opinions.)
When you are making something plural you don't use an apostrophe (feeling to feelings.)
