I am trying to build up some resources for us yblockers, but I have a hard time with the geographical thing. If I could ask where you all reside and also live and the number of persons and people who tinker, run, or play with Yblocks I think I could present this info to some local old timers who could help us all out. I live in crabtree oregon and have a 312 and slowly rebuilding a 292.
ok "y" block.... I live in eastern nebraska (waverly)... have a 239 that should run (ain't been started in 4 years), a 239 basket... parts of a 256.... and a very good 292

Hey is there a long distance award? I live in Pensacola, FL and have a 57 F100 with running 272 that currently is not residing in the truck which is tore apart for restomod. Building 312 with 4bbl and supercharged.
I live in Western Washington, and I've got one of the first overhead valve Ford engines in my '52 F-7 4x4 Big Job truck. IT'S A 279 CARGO KING Y-BLOCK. The truck is an old US Government truck, still has the original paint.
Layton, Utah; '64 F-250, orig. 292 with 224xxx miles... still pulls like a champ!

1964 F250 with bored 292 and large cam. Tring to install 3x2 intake, but current manifold is cracked. Truck was given to my 17 year old son at his grandfathers death. With intake and a little wiring we'ed be running. Our location is Fayetteviille, GA.
PS - Not mechanical experts, but we're learning as we go.
Very sorry about the the kids granpaw. family is everything. Give a hug. I know of some old timers that hate to give out information, till you get them to talk. I will talk to the elders (they like that) and see what words of wisdom they will espouse. plus I like to know with whom I converse with. To all ya all.
I live in Tempe, AZ. I have a 57 F-250 with a very strong 292 in it. I have 2 extra 292 blocks that i might re-build if i have the time, oh an i have a 351 cleveland that i'm selling. (Just though i would add that it, LoL.)
