Alernator conversion additional information from Janet
This is Janet, yesterday I noticed a few people were having problems locating the delco remy one post hookup i sent many photos of.I am offering a parts number here, and you may email me for the phone number of a supplier in my area or use the parts number to order from your local parts store. It looks and the case is identical to all delco remy alternators used on chevy V8 cars through 1965 all the way up till 1978,other than it has no upper plug on top.It has one bolt on back that goes directly to your battery positive post, and easily bolts to the outside of the old generator bracket, with only a additional slide adjuster and spacer washers for the bottom.
Delco remy type=the "self exciter"
Part no.=7127-12
I purchased mine from Woodys alternator in Houston Texas, and will issue my photos plus his phone number if any of you need help.Woody also has them in chrome as well, and can even tell you where to get the bracket assembly if you choose to not use my method, but my method works well.BTW,Myself and Earl were not boycotted from any club, and I can send pictures of Me with a sign saying Janet along with My alternator conversion photos. Thanks Janet
