A&M has looked at canola as a South TX crop. I do not have a reference but I am sure you can search their web site for it.

that is what i meant. A&M- sorry, brain fart. a prof from there forwarded me a PDF of their latest findings. pretty interesting read- that is where I got the ~80 gallon/acre figure.

hope it is a little better than that though.
