Overhead Console Sunglass Compartment Door Replacement ?

Overhead Console Sunglass Compartment Door Replacement ?
My sunglass compartment door drops ALL the way down and then I have to lift the spring tabs to get it closed. A two hand operation. So I called my local dealer to get a replacement door. They list the sunglass door for $185 and the garage opener door for $111. WOW!!!!!!!! Has anyone replaced there sunglass compartment door recently and if so is this a valid price?

One of the spring clips broke on my sunglass door so I removed the one from the garage opener door and switched it. I never get into the garage opener door anyway.
I did price one of the clips for the rear a/c door that I broke. It was outrageous also. Good thing they no longer make that part or I would have had a delema.

Can you attach double side velcro to in it some way where it will remain closed and not be seen? The strong stuff with adhesive back. Not truly fixed but if it does the job for a $10 bill that is money you saved for fuel. <p>
Call your local salvage yard and see if they have a console or can get you one. They do inventory and sell them. I don't know if the same door is used in other models but if so you could possibly take one from another ford console. Maybe F150, Expedition, etc.
