I had my XM radio mounted in the garage door opener section of the OH console. Needed to take rear part of console apart to mount the new XM radio in the same place. Probably a bad move as almost all of the screw holes in the retainer ring that hold the sunglass, door opener compartments and interior light lens are either cracked or broke off or gone. Part is obsolete so I was wondering if someone had one they are willing to part with.

I got some pieces for mine from a junkyard expedition. If I remember right the overhead console was identical.
I was looking at that link. DH and I were wondering what compartments were for. Obviously one is for sunglasses. Is the other one for sunglasses too or a garage door opener? Looks different inside so thought maybe missing parts.
it is the old school home link, you put the garage door opener up there with some velcro, then there was a **** (lego things) on the back side of the door, so you could press up on the door, and the **** would press the button. Interesting idea I guess...
I actually used mine for its designed purpose until the hinges broke and the door fell off. It now sports a replacement door from an expedition (identical match color and all) and now I don't touch it. The hinges are weak and the heat from summer makes them brittle.
