Need help with trouble codes

I'm running superchips tuner on middle setting and get these codes all the time.
1249, 0603, 1211
I looked it up in the book and it told me one had to do with wastegate failure? and the other was icp not controlable.
I'm wondering if these codes are common nd what to do to fix them.
Thanks.

1249, i believe is common when you have a chip, 1211, take a look at your waste gate hose, see if it is connected, or cracked, I dont 0603, but will try looking.

how big is the wastegate hose? is that not the same as warmup valve?
Thanks. Is the ICP code coming from not enough oil pressure?

It is a little 1/4 hose running up to a control valve mounted on top of the turbo, warm up valve? I believe you are talking about the Exhaust back pressure valve, I disconnected the electrical conncetion myself on the bottom of the pedalstal.
Yes to the 1249, not enough oil, that was the one that is common when you are chipped, sorry about my mix up. I am also guessing that the 0603 is caused by your chip, but you may want to wait for someone else to chime in.

the 0603 = no problem, common with a chip.
The 1211 could be no problem or could be several problems. Could come from a WOT and the HPOP could not keep up with demand or it could be a faulty ICP, IPR or several other things.
The 1249 points to the wastegate or controls. Also could have come from a hard run.
I would clear them and run it, see what comes back. I know the 0603 will but maybe the others will not.

all the codes come back after a quick race. I replaced the ICP 6 mo ago. I'm just wondering if its normal to run out of oil pressure with just a superchips tuner. whats up with the wastegate? isn't it supposed to stay open all the time when warm?

I had the code po-603 since i got the superchips, kam something, i can't think of it right now, i'll have to look in the book. But when you erase all the codes you hear a click right behind the head light switch, never caused me any problem.

Are you having a problem with your truck? Are you just worried about the codes?Dont forget when you put a chip on theses truck, that advances the timming, pumps more fuel, pumps more oil,and makes the tranny shift different!

I ran the Superchip for several years and the only time I saw the 1211 was when I had ICP and IPR problems. I finally had to replace the IPR and it hasn't come back yet. Never had the 1249, but it refers to the wastegate. I think you are thinking about the EPBV(exhaust back pressure valve) and it does open when warm. The wastegate opens under high boost to prevent damage. It is controlled be the gold colored canister on the top back left of the turbo. If someone has unhooked the red line going to it, the may cause you problem. If you truck is running good and feel it is stong enough, drive it. If you want it stonger, better, faster, then you have got to get you a DP-Tuner. Until you do, you just don't know what you are missing. To check it out, click on the DP link in my sig.

ok thanks for all the help. I may have to look into the ipr. The code came on for wastegate according to my superchips codebook. I'll check and see if my red line is cracked. if not is somthing else wrong? my truck isn't running bad, I'm just curious about the codes.

Your right to worry about a code that returns. Something is causing it and needs to be looked at. Either of the codes can lead to more serious problems and could leave you stranded. Some people chose to unplug the red line to increase boost pressure and that may be your case. Keep us posted.

P0603 - Ignore this, it's caused by the Superchips.

P1211 - This is common to come on under heavy throttle situations with a chip or tuner. If that's what you are experiencing, then you can ignore it. This code is only triggered when ICP falls (or rises above) desired pressure for more than 7 seconds. This code also trips the SES light and will stay illuminated for approximately 2 minutes. If this code is popping up under situations other than heavy throttle, then you may have a problem.

P1249 - This code refers to the Wastegate Solenoid, not the actuator or even the red line. There is no code for the actuator, so don't bother hunting for the cause of this code by tracing a crack in the red or green lines. The solenoid is located on the front of the spider intake where the red and green lines originate from. If this code is constantly popping up, the solenoid needs to be replaced, or you need to check the connection at the solenoid for wiring issues.

Good luck.
