I'm not really a noob to Audio or Fords, just in this situation.
I have an '04 F350 with an in-dash 6 disc changer. I want to hard wire my Sirius Radio audio out into the stereo. I can either use the Fm Direct cable or the "Audio out". I don't know what the Stock Head Unit has for inputs ??? I could figure it out if I could figure out how to pull the unit out.
There is a tool you can buy at Walmart, Autozone, or pretty much any store that sells stereo stuff. The 04 radio will have 2 holes on each side of the radio, the tool goes into these holes, then you press the loops slightly outward and pull the radio toward you. Some people have made their own tools using wire hangers, or just pushed nails into the holes. The tool is less than $5 so I just bought one.
If you have a Circuit City or Best Buy near you, them might even let you borrow the tool for a couple minutes or do it for you if you ask nicely.
Thanks for the reply. I guess I'll have to go find the tool. I tried the bent coat hanger and couldn't get it to work.
Does anybody know what the stock deck comes with for Inputs and Outputs?
When using the coat hanger. run them into the holes till they stop, then back them up about 1/4" then take and push outwards from eachother. While doing that, pull on the deck to get it to slide out.
The stock deck won't have any inputs/outputs on the rear of the deck
