hi, i have a 1970 f100 4x4 with a 302 out of a 96 ford explorer and have a zf transmission behind it. i was wondering what the best way to add power to the motor. it is an all stock motor still fuel injected. thanks for any info
I would agree. Changing to a higher ratio rear end would help you out a lot.
Long tube headers would help with low end power, but in the north east where i'm from, they rust real quick. They are also loud in the cab and i hate them.
Be careful with the fuel injection. Any time you start changing things with EFI you run the risk of having the ECM not functioning properly. Check with the 5.0 EFI boys on the engine forum, they may have some advise for you.
Good luck.
