Ran BFG AT's for many years (excellent tires) then tried Dick Cepeck Fun Country II's in 285/75R16 last significantly longer then the ATs IMO, and will buy again.... Also had them syped(?) tread runs cooler therefor last WAY longer, just be easy on the peddle if you run big power as they may chunk up a little when they get older....
If you never leave a paved road, Michelin LTX's. If you ever go off road, even wet grass, you will be hard pressed to beat the traction of a goodyear silet armour and retain the great ride and low noise levels they offer. They truely do it all in my opinion, one of the best tires I have ever owned.
just put at2's on last weekend, had a bad vibration, long story short they are replacing them. waiting for them to come in & replace them. hopefully this weekend.
I had a set of Silent Armours on my 98 Expedition, had 50,000 miles on them when I traded it in on my Excursion, the dealer was impressed with my "new" tires on the Expedition. They are hands down the best tire I have ever used. Can't wait for the BFGs to wear down to put the Silent Armours on my Excursion!
