Decisions - Decisions

Well, I am trying to figure out what I should do. I have my 49 up to 99% done (are they ever done?). My 50 is about 75% done, but I haven't worked on it in about 2 1/2 yrs. It is in my shop at home and my 49 is in my shop at work. I want to bring the 49 home, so I am going to have to move the 50 out (probably to the work shop). The real decision is what to do with it. It could be a better truck than the 49, but I am not sure if I want to finish it. I am having so much fun with the 49. I am not sure, if I decided to sell it as is, what a good price would be. Anyone have a idea on that? You can see it in my gallery. All of the pictures are of the 50 except for the ones in the 49 galleries. Let me have some of your thoughts about what I should do.
Thanks guys,

It looks great; I wish my TPI was that far along. I wouldn't sell it, if I didn't need the money for the 49. I'd finish it. Just my 2 cents worth. Sure would like to know and see how you wired up the ECM.

I have been in your situation a couple of times; multiple runners, a runner and a project, etc. At one point I had three running/complete cars/trucks plus three running motorcycles. After about 3 months like that, it was real clear which ones I consistently chose to drive/ride. I kind of hated to but I sold off the rest, down to one bike, one car, one truck. You can only drive one at a time, any more than that is just going to cost you.

I'm confused by your picture of the '50 that is called "The engine". It appears to show a wiring panel (behind the seat?) with what appears to be an EFI controller among other things. Did it have a motor with EFI?

In pieces, nothing is worth much to most people, but to the right person it might be worth $2500 or so.

Yes, look at the pictures in the "the engine" gallery. Its a 5.0L TPI.

I say if you can keep them both as it looks like each one is of a different style of build.

Question for you on the 50. Did you need to notch the fire wall or move the radiator forward at all? I am putting an 05 5.3 Vortec in my 51 and would like to move the rad forward a bit and not take up any leg room.

Then on your 49 I see you used the EZ mini harness. I just ordered the 20 circut Mini from them. Did you have any problems with their product?

I have a sbc in both trucks. I put the radiator in the 6 cyl. position. I didn't have to do anything to the firewall. The engine in the 50 has a serpentine belt and is a little farther forward than the 49. The 50 was a little tight getting a elect. fan in there behind the rad. I used a Zirgo and it fit OK. I have the same setup in the 49, but the engine is about 2 in. farther back and there is plenty of room.
I used the EZ wire kit on both trucks. The mini harness is on the 49. No problems with either one. Worked out great.
