I have a 2006 Ford F-250 Super Duty XLT.
I find it difficult to see & read the dash board while wearing sunglasses.
At night the dash is extremely dim.
The back ground of the dash is black with what appears to be are green numbers. On the other hand, I have a 2008 GMC Acadia and the numbers are extremely bright both day and night with a red/orange color.
Is the dark/dim dash an issue with anyone else?
Let me know how I can solve the issue.
Have the same issue since new.
The black background is the pits!
If anyone has a resolution I sure want to hear it as I have to take my eyes off the road and stare to read temp, px, or fuel.
Scary.......

Well, there's your problem, you have your sunglasses on at night!!!
Sorry, couldn't resist. I have the same colour gauges but don't have any problem seeing them - at night if I am in the city, I just turn up the dash lights a little brighter, during the day, I don't have any problems. Mine are white during the day and green backlit at night.

lots of after market replacement gauge panels out there, check in any 4x4 magazine for the names of a couple outfits. i never really looked into it cause i can see the factory gauges just fine
You didn't say if you have adjusted the brightness or not, but there is a **** on the left side of your dash next to your light switch that you can adjust the brightness with.
The brightness is turned up all the way at night....Still very dim!!
Forgot to mention, at night I'm not wearing the sunglasses.
Thanks for bringing to my attention.
I wonder if you have some lights burnt out in your display. I have one burnt out right now behind my tach and it is a bit annoying, but it is the right side so it doesn't interfere with me seeing it. Sounds like you could have a whole lot of lights burnt out in the display if you can't see them when you turn up the brightness unless your dimmer switch is gone.
