Engine size change

ok so I know there are a lot of threads on changing a 240 to a 300, but can you go higher on it?

You could bore it and there may be a stroker kit out there for it somewhere but you could just put a V8 in it for a lot less money.

I assume you want more Omphfff. To get that you need to add displacement, increase compression, carbruation and camshaft lift/duration and improve the exhaust.

Increse compression gets the most bang for the buck.

Boring would add minimal, so the best bet is to get the compression up to about 9.25:1 in order to stay with 87-89 octane pump gas.

Someone with more experience can suggest which cylinder head (240 or 300) we could use.
