Driver's side turn signals
I have just replaced the turn signal bulb on the driver's side for the second time. I see burn marks on the bulb, but no filament breaks.
I have also had this problem multiple times with a 97 Mountaineer and an 05 Freestyle. Is this a problem area for Fords in general?
Replaced the 4157K bulbs with 3157 and the problem goes away. Any Ideas?

Perhaps your getting water in the socket or don't have enough dielectric lube. You can real dielectric grease, but just to try out, white lithium grease works too. Try hosing the inside of the socket with either and see if it happens again.
